ΧΡΙΣΤΟΦΟΡΟΣ ΣΤΡΑΤΟΣ - Ένας Eυπατρίδης της πολιτικής
Παρουσιάστηκε στην Αθήνα στις 21 Σεπτεμβρίου στην αίθουσα τελετών της Παλαιός Βουλής το βιβλίο «ΧΡΙΣΤΟΦΟΡΟΣ ΣΤΡΑΤΟΣ: ένας ευπατρίδης της πολιτικής», παρουσία εκλεκτών προσκεκλημένων, πλήθος κόσμου, που κατέκλυσε την αίθουσα και ενώπιον των παιδιών του σπουδαίου πολιτικού: Βαρβάρας Στράτου - Βερνίκου, Αλέξανδρου και Κων/νου Στράτου.
Στην αρχή της εκδήλωσης η Βαρβάρα Στράτου - Βερνίκου ευχαρίστησε τους προσκεκλημένους και αμέσως μετά ο δημοσιογράφος Κωνσταντίνος Ζούλας, που ήταν και συντονιστής της εκδήλωσης, ανέπτυξε έναν πρόλογο σχετικά με την εκδήλωση και τον άνθρωπο - πολιτικό Χριστόφορο Στράτο.
Στη συνέχεια έδωσε το λόγο στους ομιλητές: Στέφανο Μάνο, πρόεδρο ΔΡΑΣΗΣ, Παναγή Βουρλούμη, τ. πρόεδρο 0ΤΕ, Νίκο Λιναρδάτο, τ. Βουλευτή (αναγνώσθηκε εισήγησή του απο τον κ. Ζούλα), Γιώργο Γιαννικόπουλο, ιστορικό συγγραφέα και συγγραφέα του βιβλίου και Πέτρο Μακρή - Στάικο, συγγραφέα.
Όλοι οι ομιλητές μίλησαν με τα καλύτερα λόγια για τον άνθρωπο - πολιτικό Χριστόφορο Στράτο που είχε όραμα και στόχους. Όλα όσα ακούστηκαν στην εκδήλωση είχαν ενδιαφέρον και απ' όσα είμαι σε θέση να γνωρίζω ανταποκρίνονταν στην πραγματικότητα, καθόσον υπήρξα για χρόνια στενός συνεργάτης του υπουργού.
Ο Χριστόφορος Στράτος ήταν ένας γνήσιος και αληθινός πατριώτης με ευαισθησίες και οράματα, που είχε ως μοναδικό στόχο και σκοπό την εξυπηρέτηση του δημόσιου συμφέροντος.
